Dimitris Kamposos
Mayor of Argos - Mykines
Dimitris Kamposos was born and completed his primary and secondary education in Argos.
Graduated of the Physical Education and Sport of the University of Athens, where he received his degree and specialty with "Excellent".
He completed his military service as a reserve lieutenant in the special forces (parachutist) and then he was appointed as a teacher of Physical Education in various schools.
In 1989 he made his first successful business endeavor, a fitness center in the municipality of Paleo Faliro, and in 1996 he began to work in the import and trade of fitness equipment.
In 1999 he creates the first electronic level Treadmills in Greece and exports to many countries as well as in 2007 he creates the infra-red machine and gets a patent from the industrial property organization (Ο.Β.Ι.)
From 2004 to 2007 he was appointed as a Physical Education teacher in various schools in Athens and in the same year he was appointed as Director at the First High School of Argos until December 2010.
Since January 2011 he has been serving the municipality of Argos-Mycenae as the mayor.
Furthermore, in 2015 he was elected as President of the Mayors of Peloponnese and he serves his second 5-year term (2023).
He is the father of three children and lives in Argos.
