Mavridis Vassileios was born in 1971 in Orestiada. He is married and father of two sons.

He is a physiotherapist by profession with a very significant career in the field having an expertise in the disabled. From 1997 to 2014, he was the owner of a physical therapy clinic. He was scientifically responsible for the Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility "Psyhaspis" and also a member of the Council. He also acted as a public relations manager of the regional department of Thrace for the Greek Association of Physiotherapists.

Motivated by the great love he has for his hometown, he decided to get involved in local government, in 2010. In September 2014, he was elected Mayor of Orestiada and was further re-elected in the municipal elections of 2019. In addition, he has been the president of the Regional Association of Municipalities of East Macedonia and Thrace, since 2019.
