Nikos Souliotis

Mayor of Karpenisi

The Mayor of Karpenissi Mr. Nikolaos Souliotis was born in 1965 in Eastern Frangista and graduated from Eastern Frangista Primary School, Katsambio Gymnasium of Proussos and from the 1st High School of Agrinio. Mr. Nikolaos Souliotis holds a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Political Engineers of the National Technical University of Athens and a master's degree in Strategic Management of Environmental Destruction & Crises from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.

From 1990 to 1993, Nikolaos Souliotis served as a consultant for the Prefect of Evrytania. Since 1993, he is active in the field of project study and construction of private and public projects. He was elected member of the representation of the Technical Chamber of Greece Department of Central Greece from 1990 to 2013.

Mr. Nikolaos Souliotis served as president of the Regional Committee of the Technical Chamber of Greece in Evrytania from 2002 to 2010. He was elected as a Regional Counselor during the period 1998-2002. From 2010 to 2014 he was elected as the 1st Municipal Counselor with the combination of Kostas Bakoyannis, and he served as Deputy Mayor of Technical Works and as the 1st Deputy Mayor from 2010 until 2014.

In the Municipal Elections of 2014, Mr. Nikolaos Souliotis elected as Mayor of Karpenissi, and he was re-elected as Mayor of Karpenissi in 2019. From 2019 he is the elected President of the Regional Union of Municipalities of Central Greece, and he is serving as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Solid Waste Management Company of Central Greece S.A. From October 2014 to 2019, Nikolaos Souliotis was an elected member of the Regional Union of Municipalities of Central Greece and from January 2015 he was appointed as a member of the Environment, Town Planning and Infrastructure Committee of the Central Union of Greek Municipalities (KEDE).

He has three sons and two grandchildren.
