Vasilis Thodas
Mayor of Zografou
Vassilis Thodas was born in Zografou in 1968, having roots from Larissa and Ioannina.
He grew up in the neighbourhoods of Zografou, played ball in its alans, made his strongest friendships and completed his basic education at the 4th Lyceum.
His concerns about political and social issues have always been great, and as a result he has been an active citizen since his school days.
In 1990 he studied Business Administration in Larissa and in 2000 he obtained his second degree in the Department of International and European Studies of Panteion University.
In 2001 he received his first Master's degree in: "EU and Developing Countries" at the Department of International and European Studies of Panteion University.
In 2014 he completed his second Master's degree on: "Policy Management - International Policy" at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, University of Peloponnese.
Now, he is a PhD candidate at the same University in the last year of studies for his Doctoral degree.
After fulfilling his military obligations he started his professional career in the private sector. In 1993, he started working at the Greek Parliament.
In 2011, he was selected for the position of Head of the Questioning Department of the Directorate of Parliamentary Control, while in 2014 he became Head of the Directorate of the Special Service for the Control of Party Finances. In 2017, he was elected Head of the Directorate of Standing Committees of the Parliament.
