Vesna Vidović

Deputy Mayor of Belgrade

Vesna Vidović was born in Belgrade on 18 August 1989. She completed her bachelor and master studies at the Teacher Education Faculty of the University of Belgrade and holds the title of master educator. Since 2012, she has been employed at the "Savski venac" preschool institution. In the period from 2018 to 2020, she worked as a manager of the facility, and since 2020, as an assistant director. During her work, she participated in numerous projects and activities with children of preschool age, she worked on the improvement of preschool education within various teams for improvement and professional development, as well as in teams for the protection of children from discrimination and violence. Since June 2022, she has been serving as the Deputy Mayor of Belgrade. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the Allocation of Apartments to Young Scientists.

She has been a councillor in the Assembly of the City of Belgrade since 2018, as well as in the Assembly of the Municipality of Savski Venac since 2012. During her mandate, she advocated for social issues, gender equality, as well as for increasing the coverage of children in preschool education. She participated in the implementation of the "Sports Fair" and "Heart of the Sava" projects intended for children of preschool and school age. She was engaged on behalf of the City of Belgrade as the person responsible for the coordination and implementation of "Europride 2022", she is a member of the executive committee of the Board for the implementation of the first international wine fair "Wine Vision Open Balkan".

She participated in the work on the projects of the Youth Office National Association in order to improve the development and networking of local youth policies within the local Youth Offices.
