Konstantinos Vorgiazidis

Mayor of Veria

Mr. Konstantinos Vorgiazidis was born in 1968. He is married and has two children. He studied Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of Athens and since 1993 maintains a technical office in Veria.

Having grown up in the building where his father Charalambos Vorgiazidis, a general surgeon, operated a clinic, he learned, from a young age, what human need means and learned to offer. These lessons put him at the service of his fellow citizens from the day he engaged in public affairs.

Τhe first time he involved with Local Government was in 2010, when he was elected as Municipal Councilor with the combination of "Sympoliteia". He was initially appointed Deputy Mayor for Town Planning and Environment, while from 2013 to August 2014 he served as Deputy Mayor for Town Planning-Property and Energy Conservation.

Having a strong opinion and a dynamic presence, Mr. Vorgiazidis concerns for the fate of his country and he provides solutions to key issues such as the transportation and management of waste.

He was several times President of the Regional Department of the Prefecture of Imathia in the Panhellenic Association of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. He was elected to the delegation of the TEE-Department of Central Macedonia and to the TEE-Prefectural Committee of Imathia.
